Galt Museum

The Galt Museum & Archives is an outstanding venue for photography, featuring impressive architectural design and a prime location atop the river valley. This vantage point offers breathtaking views, including the University of Lethbridge and the High Level Bridge in the background. Conveniently situated off Scenic Drive at 502 1st Street South in Lethbridge, the museum is easily accessible and boasts a large parking lot that can accommodate sizable groups.

Writing-On Stone

Writing-On-Stone Provincial Park, located in southern Alberta near the Montana border, is an exceptional destination for family photographs, offering stunning natural landscapes and rich cultural history.

Families can capture memories against the unique geological formations and the picturesque views of the Sweetgrass Hills. The park’s diverse landscapes, which include the Milk River and expansive prairie views, create numerous opportunities for creative photography. The campground offers convenient access to these scenic spots, allowing families to stay close to nature while enjoying their photographic adventures.

Waterton

Nobody can say Waterton isn’t a beautiful setting for photography, but there are a few caveats involved that make sites outside of the park more attractive for photographs.
First on the list is that as a national park everybody that enters the park has to stop at the entrance booth and pay a few.
Next is that there is a fee involved for professional photographers to work in the park, and it’s a bit hefty.Yes you can take your chances, but ,,,
Third on the list is the wildlife – both the animal and the human kind can interrupt a photography session.

Henderson Lake

Henderson Lake Park is a favorite among families in Lethbridge for its scenic beauty. The lake, surrounded by lush greenery and mature trees, offers a perfect setting for portraits and nature photography. The reflections on the water during sunrise and sunset are particularly stunning.

Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens

The Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden in Lethbridge features a variety of beautiful settings, including water features, traditional Japanese structures, and meticulously landscaped grounds. It’s an ideal location for portrait photography and capturing the peaceful ambience of the garden.

Indian Battle Park

Indian Battle Park, located in South Lethbridge, is nestled in the riverbottom and offers scenic views of the Oldman River. The area is rich in history and natural beauty, making it a great location for both landscape and historical-themed photography. However if your goal is to include the High Level Bridge there are better locations.
