If it involves a camera, then at some point in time I’ve done it. From the outdoors to traveling baby day photographer to high fashion, I have experienced a wide range of photography genres. My lens has captured the beauty of the homeless on city streets as well as the grandeur of Premiers, Prime Ministers, Presidents, and Royalty. From high-end studios to home-based freelancing, my photography journey has been diverse and fulfilling.
My passion for photography began during my high school years. Little did I know that it would become my lifelong pursuit. It was a chance encounter with a real photographer that changed the course of my life. This seasoned professional took the time to look at my work and showed me how to improve. Most importantly, he showed me what really good work looked like. His guidance and mentorship ignited a fire within me to constantly strive for excellence in my craft.
When asked what I like best about photography, my answer is simple: everything. I find joy in every aspect of the process, from capturing the perfect shot to the post-processing stage. However, if I had to choose a favorite, it would be working with newborns and their parents. There is something magical about capturing the precious moments between Mom, Dad, and their newest addition to the family.
Unlike the unnatural and highly manipulated photo-shopped images that have become popular, my approach is to capture the genuine interactions and emotions between parents and their newborns. Each child has their own unique personality, and what better time to immortalize the love and connection within a family than during those early days? Rather than forcing the little ones into unnatural positions, I prefer to wait until they are around three months old when those adorable, candid moments come naturally.
Photography is not just a job for me; it is a way of life. It allows me to freeze moments in time, preserving memories that will be cherished for generations to come. Whether I am in the great outdoors, capturing the beauty of nature, or in a high-end studio, working with clients to create stunning portraits, my camera is an extension of myself. It is through the lens that I am able to express my creativity and capture the essence of life.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of subjects, from everyday people to influential figures. Every photoshoot is a unique opportunity to tell a story and create art. I am constantly honing my skills, learning new techniques, and seeking inspiration from the world around me.
Photography is a never-ending journey, and I am grateful for every step along the way. It has allowed me to connect with people, explore different cultures, and capture the beauty that surrounds us. Each click of the shutter is a chance to capture a moment that will never be repeated. It is this pursuit of capturing life’s moments that drives me forward and fuels my passion for photography.
