Built in 1912 St Isidore’s Catholic church is located in Allerston Alberta and my Grandparents George Thielen and Katherine Allers were the first couple married in the church. Both are now buried in the Allertson cemetery located in the area behind the church. My Dad, who’s grandfather was Jacob Allers, the land agent that brought many of the farmers to the land east of Verdigris Coulee, and after which the community of Allerston was named, built this sign at the entrance to the Allerston cemetery.
